Subject: NO POWER.(D502,D503)

Symptom: No power

Cause: D502 and D503 are short (damper diodes)

Remedy: Change these components. Even after replacing these components, there is still no pin correction Check PS1502 (not mentioned on the D1 board) and change this fusable resistor

Subject: PICTURE IS OUT OF SYNC.(IC3502)

Symptom: Picture is out of sync.

Cause: IC 3502 is defect.(B board)

Remedy: Change IC 3502(TDA 9144/N1)

Subject: UNSTABEL AUDIO.(IC201)

Symptom: Unstabel audio

Cause: IC 201 (MSP3410D-PS-B4-T) is defect.

Remedy: Change this IC.

Subject: NO VERTICAL SYNCHRO.(IC317)

Symptom: No vertical synchro.

Cause: IC 317 is defect.(soft 100Hz processing)

Remedy: Change this IC.

Subject: INTERMITTENT NO SWITCH ON, NO I.R. RECEPTION, UNST

Symptom: Intermittent no I.R reception, unstabel picture,...

Cause: Bad contacts at IC 1136 and IC 1137.

Remedy: Add flux and resolder both IC's. Clean up board in this area with a product used for this purpose. Check main functions of the set a

Subject: CLOCK IS NOT WORKING.(IC1141)

Symptom: Clock doesn't work.

Cause: IC 1141 is defect.

Remedy: Change IC 1141 (PCF8593/T3)

Subject: UNCORRECT H-SIZE AND PIN DEFORMATION.(D503)

Symptom: Uncorrect H size and pin deformation.

Cause: D 503 is short.

Remedy: Change this diode.

Subject: POWERS UP BUT NO OPERATION.(IC1510)

Symptom: Powers up, but no operation.

Cause: IC 1510 is defect.(IR2112)

Remedy: Change this IC.

Subject: INTERMITTENT VERTICAL NOISE BAR IN THE PICTURE.(D6

Symptom: Intermittent vertical noisebar in picture.

Cause: Bad contacts D 602.

Remedy: Resolder D 602. Readjust mounting of D 602 when necessary.

Subject: NO POWER.(IC1116)

Symptom: No power.

Cause: Microprocessor is defect.

Remedy: Change IC 1116. Normally power supply stand-by tensions are present(Stand-by 5V,11V,35V) AC ON/OFF tension on pin 31 from the microprocessor is too low.(1V i.p.v 5V)

 

Model: GE1, KV-28FD1E, KV-28FD1K, KV-32FD1E, KV-32FD1K

Subject: SET POWERS UP, FALLS INTO STAND-BY AND BLINKS 4X.(

Symptom: Set powers up,falls in stand-by and blinks 4X.

Cause: IC 502 is defect.(vertical amplifier)

Remedy: Change this IC and check the fusable resistors R519 and R518.

 

Model: GE1, KV-28FD1E, KV-28FD1K, KV-32FD1E, KV-32FD1K

Subject: PIN CUSHION PROBLEM.(PS1502)

Symptom: Pin-cushion problem.

Cause: PS 1502 is open.

Remedy: Change this fusable resistor. PS 1502 is not mentioned in the service manuel!!!!! Check also the damper diodes!

 

Model: GE1, KV-28FD1E, KV-28FD1K, KV-32FD1E, KV-32FD1K

Subject: NO POWER.(LIGHTENING)

Symptom: No power,lightening.

Cause: Lightening!

Remedy: Check Q 604, D 633, D 600, Q 609 and IC 1116,(microprocessor) and replace when necessary. Check correct partnumbers in the SM or ASSIST.

Symptom: No power

Cause: D502 and D503 are short(damper diodes)

Remedy: Change these components. Part(s): 8-719-979-99 (D502) 8-719-052-09 (D503) 1-532-637-00 (PS1502)

Symptom: No power
